Dr. Jacquelyn Williams is a licensed clinical psychologist with a private practice. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology at U.C. Davis and her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. Her professional interests involve the treatment of adults with chronic mental illness (mood disorders, schizophrenia, and self-injurious behavior), cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, and animal assisted therapy.
Apart from her clinical work in private practice, Dr. Jacquelyn Williams clinical experience includes the position of director of a clinic at Patton State Hospital, a maximum-security forensic hospital, where she led a team to provided therapeutic services to difficult to treat patients who have failed to respond to treatments provided at the hospital. She also worked as Oversight Coordinator for Suicide and Homicide Prevention at Patton State Hospital where she consulted with mental health providers regarding treatment plans for individuals with reoccurring suicide attempts and self-injurious behaviors. She also served as an adjunct professor of psychology at Pepperdine University where she taught courses on abnormal psychology and behavior modification.
